Regulations to the Festival

FESTIVAL ORGANIZATION

The 1st edition of the festival is organized in the very heart of the cinema cradle in Paris (France) under the patronage of UNESCO by AITYSH France Association.
The main goal of the festival is by adhering to UNESCO ideas to open the new realities and images; to promote new talents and to cherish the outstanding world of the emerged filmmakers whose films have really become the world cinema heritage; to show films that speak of people and cultures; to develop a dialogue between cultures and nations.
The principle of the festival is to send a message of tolerance, openness, mutual understanding, kindness, intercommunication, the preservation of the cultural diversity and unity through the unique film language.

 

FESTIVAL’S PROGRAM

Competition program:
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION – full-length feature films (from 70 minutes) produced within the last two years and not theatrically released in France can take part.

Out-of-competition program:
HERITAGE – a world cinema program: a retrospective of the prominent filmmakers, special screenings of restored milestone films, tribute;
NATIONAL FILM DAY – best hits, award winning films in the country of production.
All screenings are followed by Q&A with the representative of the film.
The screenings and events program are determined by the Program department.

 

SUBMISSION FORM REGULATIONS
All submissions are made through the platform FILMFREEWAY with English subtitles.
Selection of the films shall be carried out by the festival Program department. Once the film is officially selected, the producers of the films shall forward the following materials to the Festival Program department:
• Dialogue lists in English/French in SRT format;
• Synopsis, promotional materials, press-kits;
• Information for the Catalogue (director’s biography, filmography, photo of the director, poster of the film and 3-4 film stills, film trailer).
Producers, distributors or other organizations submitting a film must ensure that they are legitimately entitled to enter a film in the festival.

 

SCREENING FORMAT
Films in the official program are screened in the original format in DCP in the original language with English/French subtitles. The film, selected to one of the festival’s programs shall not be withdrawn after the official confirmation of its participation. Each film shall not be screened for more than two times during the festival.
All conditions and terms are mandatory; otherwise, the festival Program department reserves the right to exclude the film from the festival program.

 

OFFICIAL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS
The screening of the film in the official program of the Festival provides the possible attendance of one representative from the film (one member of the film crew) agreed and approved by the Organizing committee.
Travel expenses as well as the accommodation for the representatives of the selected films are covered by the Festival Organizing committee that deals with the matters regarding the personal guests’ invitations, terms and provisions of the Festival attendance and accreditation.
Conditions of the guests’ attendance shall be specified in their individual invitation letters.


JURY
The International Jury is formed for the evaluation of the competition program.
Travel expenses to Paris and back as well as accommodation of the jury members are covered by the Festival Organizing committee.
International Jury must not consist of individuals who participated in the production or distribution of the films screened in competition.

Partners’ Award
This award will be handled out on behalf of the partners of the festival for the best achievements and a bright reflection of the multicultural cooperation.

 

FINAL PROVISIONS
The participation in the film festival requires compliance with all items of these Regulations.
The festival director reserves the right to settle any case not covered by these regulations.
